Grade 8 & 9
The IEB curriculum is used as the basis of our curriculum, and is then adapted to reflect the Christ-centred lifestyle and worldview of our school.
The following subjects are compulsory
- English Home Language
- Afrikaans or Sepedi as First Additional Language*
- Mathematics
- Natural Sciences (Physical Sciences and Life Sciences)
- Life Orientation
- Arts and Culture
- Social Sciences (History and Geography)
- Economic and Management Sciences (Business Management & Accounting)
- Technology
- Digital Skills
*Selection of a First Additional Language for Grade 8:
- A student may select a First Additional Language if it is their Home Language.
- A student may select a First Additional Language if they have received a pass in the chosen language in Grade 7.
Integrated Elective Programme
Grade 8 and 9 have an integrated elective programme, rotating through:
- Technical Drawing
- Hospitality Studies
- Graphic Design
Grade 10 - 12
The prescribed National Department of Education Syllabus (CAPS) is used as the basis of our curriculum, and is then adapted to reflect the Christ-centred lifestyle and worldview of our school.

- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Life Orientation
Integrated Elective Programme
Three subjects, arranged in different combinations, from the following list should be selected. (Provided there are enough students and it fits into the timetable, it will be offered):
- Physical Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Geography
- Engineering Graphics and Design
- Hospitality Studies
- Accounting
- Business Studies
- Information Technology (Java and SQL)
- Computer Applications Technology (Microsoft Office and HTML)
- Dramatic Arts
- History (Grade 10 Only)
Other subjects:
- AP Maths (Additional cost)
- French Second Additional Language (Additional cost – private tutoring)
- German Second Additional Language (Additional cost – private tutoring)
In Grade 10 and 11, students work on a long term project across various subjects in a collaborative style to practise global competency skills they will use once they enter the work market.
